Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Delhi Region was established in the year 1977. The first Assistant Commissioner of the Region was Mr. H. L. Khosla. Over the years, the Region has been expanding with more and more number of Schools and presently the number of Vidyalayas have become 68 including second shift.
As we are aware that in order to ensure all round development of child's personality KVS gives equal importance to Scholastic and non-scholastics activities. Games and sports as a co-curricular activity is an integral part of KVS System, it helps students to imbibe the values of team spirit, sportsmanship, self discipline, and also makes the child physically and mentally strong.
To instill the sports culture in Vidyalayas, KVS provides lots of opportunities to every child to play/participate in number of disciplines of his/her choice at different levels. To achieve this objective KVS Conducts every year sports Meet at Sub Regional, National Levels and select its team for participation in SGFI in as an independent state.
Regional Sports meet will be conducted from 23 April 2019 to 29 April 2019. All Schools of Delhi region KV will create their teams and will participate in the event.

KVS Mumbai Region will host KVS Cricket League/Tournament in 'LAND OF BEACHES - GOA' for the first time. Tournament will be held between 26th December 2018 to 31st December 2018...
KVS conducting Games/Sports activities every year at various level i.e. Regional & National that gives an opportunity to the students to show their talent and to select the KVS team for SGFI and other tournaments.
